Selected from those barrels promising depth and intensity for long aging, this wine takes complexity and finesse to another level. We search primarily for flavor purity, focus, length, and balance to create a wine that is multilayered and provides intensity without heaviness. While balance and fruit encourage early consumption, these same characteristics, coupled with a refined tannin structure, provide the basics for the integration and silken complexity that comes to our Reserves after a decade or more.Intriguing aromatics – Ripe black cherries, cardamom, sandalwood, and baking spices. The focused, concentrated palate is a linear iteration of the nose, with a dollop of raspberries added. The finish is vibrant with a lingering sensation of the black cherries and spices found in the opening aromatics. Unusually complex and fascinating now, it will be even better after a decade.
