90 Points - Connoisseurs' Guide
Barrel fermented to dryness and aged on its lees, this sensual white wine is unusually aromatic and flavorful, with an exceptionally full middle palate. The aromatics are pears, orange blossoms, peaches and minerals, which are repeated in the flavors with slight additional hints of white pepper and vanilla.
"The 2015 Viognier is a particularly lush rendering of our barrel fermented classic Rhone white wine. Pears and crème brûlée dominate the aromatics, the palate continuing the richness with additional suggestions of ripe peaches and apricots. True to its Storybook origins, however, sufficient acid has been retained to provide freshness and definition. The acid balance also provides a lively, long and clean finish, inviting continuing enjoyment." - winemaker notes
